Any input on the home page for the packaged 2.0 release?

During development I've kept a "home" page in ticketdesk. This is just a page I could update with some notes on the state of the app while it was in beta (not that I always remember to update it). 

Now that I'm getting near to the point where I can create a packaged release of 2.0 though, what would you guys like to see happen with the home page? Should I just remove it an make ticketcenter the start page? Should I put some boiler-plate text up there, and if so what should it say? Would you want this page to stay in the product, but with admin editable content?

Naturally this would be a good place for a user dashboard, but that's planned for a future release and will not make it into the 2.0 release.
