Thanks for taking time to test email in TD 2.5. I just finished the beta cut of those features in the last two weeks, and it hasn't been through a full suite of integration tests yet.

In this case, it looks like the config for the user name is incorrect. Gmail user names take the form of <user>@gmail.com.

Try setting the user name to krishna.mangore14@gmail.com, same as the From address.

Some notes for your consideration when working with this feature in pre-beta stages:
  • Unless they changed it recently, please also note that gmail will ignore the From Display Name attribute, and it will not use any From Address other than your account's primary email address. Gmail isn't intended to act as an SMTP relay, so they limit these options to prevent spammers from spoofing your email address or display name.
  • Please review the anti-noise settings in TicketDesk. By default, TicketDesk attempts to limit the number of messages sent to keep from flooding your user's mailboxes. Users will not receive notifications for changes they made to a ticket themselves, and if you have consolidations enabled it will batch up multiple changes into a single message.
  • The TD 2.5 email templates still need some work. It renders fairly well in a browser, but there are still rendering issues in several popular mail clients. There also isn't a link back to the ticket in the email yet... I'm looking at the best way to generate that link without necessarily having the admin need to specify a root url in the application settings.
  • I'm currently working on user settings, including the ability for individual users to opt-in/out of push notifications, and specify different push notification settings than the application level defaults.
